Well I appreciate the effort, as do some of the others I am sure, I’ve e been on many boards, but I have to tell you there was nothing like this one in its “prime” hope your efforts won’t be for nothing and you and a few others can bring this place back to life.

Irony ... I actually have a B.S. Zoology  (which I never used to put bread on the table as Life went on), but I'd never heard the term apex predator till you.  Thought it was a cool handle, remember you as being worthy-slash-feisty on occasion, AND you were present but not the reason I left AB a few yrs ago.  Female named German, avi indicated she was certainly in The Game, NC seemed to know her from elsewhere ... she was catching some sophomoric misogynist shit (yes, I DID spit when I said that out loud lol) from a "noodles" person.  I forget if you agreed w/noodles in a much more reasonable way or disagreed, BUT I disagreed with how NC handled it, told him so, and left.  Think he posted he loved me in a condescending way, blah, blah, and I was gone.  I have no grandchildren, but I AM old enough, and I can still outdo anybody else's snitfits.  Ironically, it was me who later recommended him to be a VIP on another board, so I guess I calm down after a while. 

Irony V2  ....... I joined UGBB in 2018 and found German there as a Mod, who seemed to grow more inactive and more caustic as time went on, finally just disappearing in the last year(?) or so.

FINALLY  (at last lol) ... yes TID is The Iron Den.  It's my home board, it's been described as a board for cranky old men ... and it fits (me).  Anyone can join, most activity is from VIPs, many of whom have been on the boards for 20 or so years (I am more like 12 yrs and still feel new sometimes). NO one is rude to newcomers unless they're complete jerks, but a new member may not feel comfortable unless he works his way in via intelligent posting and/or is already well known from other places.  For reference, NC, IM, E_T are all registered, but don't spend much time there.  See schultz and snachito too, but infrequently.

yeah there were a couple mods here that I didn’t care for, I genuinely like/liked NC , MYO was cool, GK though he was my all time favorite loved that guy wonder where he’s at?? There was another mod  here he was a hot head (I thought) I can’t remember his name he had day of the dead avatar I 🤔 

that guy banned me for something I said in the flame forum lol I believe I am the only person to be banned in the flame 🔥 forum. (Which I am proud of 😀) 

I did register at the Iron den just waiting to be approved

I am sorta/kinda on a small private board I joined around 2011 or so, was never big, but did get daily quality activity.  Today it seems to be dying a slow painful death, no drama, just no activity.  New posts come only infrequently, the main activity is in the chatbox from a few vets mentioning low activity, and even the chats skip a day or few.

Guessing it's just a momentum thing ... activity breeds more activity, inactivity can breed more inactivity to the point of no return???

 

 

***   Wally, I will if I can, but I only remember a handful of names ... have seen NC, IM, Schultz and E_T on TID, but not recently, which may say something.  I do remember ApexPredator and SizeMatters,but have not seen them since here, a coupla yrs ago.  Saw German as an inactive Mod on ugbb, but that too has been a while.

What’s this TID board your referring to RD?

Yeah the new layout is HORRIBLE! Hasn’t  been the same since. 

I stop by from time to time, but there’s never any new topics, this board as been on life support for a while now.

ah dynasty…. He was the one that filled his primo with test ace, and yes it was cbl loading up GH with a spoon. We had some good back and fourth back then when Bigfoot was here. Then there was another mod who got all his “buddies” on here and then they turned out to be trash. 
 

imo the board is dying, because we had so many bad sources here, it kinda turned people off. I don’t even know who some of these sources are… they come and go so fast anymore. 
 

glad to see some OG’s around though reminds me of the good old days here at the AB.

he had a heart attack a few years back, and some type of colon issue. Plus his parents passed early I heard…… so could be hereditary
