  1. Is there any value in this? Why did they not make it vertical whats the advantage of this? Every gyms I go only has these stupid slanted versions and its making my incline adjustments very confusing as Im trying to get specific angles like 20-25 degrees.

They used to make them all vertical but for safety reasons companies have put them in with a slight angle now. Like if you go to a planet fitness or big commercial company gym they’re probably all angled. I guess people were getting hurt on them and squatting and getting folded up. Someone fucked themselves up, sued, and won. At least this is what was explained to me when I’ve asked this question. You can use the angle to your advantage on some squat exercises. I’m with you, I like the vertical ones if you can find them. Bev Francis in NY has a super cool one that is vertical on a track. So it moves vertical and horizontal. Only time I seen one of those.

  2. I’m going to make this thread for reviews of service and product. I’ve had multiple reviews but they’re scattered throughout other threads. If you have a review you’d like to leave please do so. Thank you!

  3. Thanks a lot bruh - highly appreciate your input! Been following for a few years and have been curious as to where it was going & the gist of it.

Haha, just saw the NY Pro with Kyron's win funny enough. The Olympia this year is going to be a definite contest no doubt.

Physique has evolved into a pretty good show. It definitely doesn’t get the respect it deserves. I mean at the Arnold Logan Franklin did a photo shoot with Steve Laurius and hung with him no problem. Men’s physique pro league guys are no joke. Some of them would not make their weight class for classic physique.

  4. For Men's Physique, what are the key factors in your opinion?

With the back development, is it a matter of width being a commonality amongst top winners?

I’ll answer this brutality honest. If you’re on the east coast, Steve likes muscle. You’ll notice when Steve is judging the guys are going to be monster. Basically bodybuilders with board shorts on. Steve wants wide back. 747 wide. If you go to the west coast Sandy wants someone more “men’s physique” like. Basically what men’s physique used to look like but with a little more muscle. I’ve noticed the west coast guys are significantly smaller than the east coast guys.

So to answer your question they’re going to want width. Look at your top winners now. Andre, Raymont, Kyron, Brandon. All very big guys with wide backs. I’ve been in a posing session with a guy and Steve said I don’t care about the front, I’m judging you on your back. If you’re in shape the front should be fine. The back has a lot of areas that can show weakness. That’s why you hear the phrase “shows are won from the back.”

  5. Sup fellas

I appreciate it bro! Thank you again and good luck with your show!

  7. Omfg dude yes trying to sleep n it comes up big time.........unreal. I'll look into those HCL thinks vision, thanks.

Glad sense of humor is with you German lol

Vitamin shoppee carries it if you have one local. Pepsin HCL with each meal. If you’re getting it now mainly when you lay down put some wooden blocks under your bed on the end of the head board so it’s at a slightly angle. Only need to raise it like two inches. This will help in the meantime of keeping it down.

  8. How do you know if someone is doing to much cardio during prep

I mean too much is too much. If you’re a bikini chick doing two hours a day it’s too much. If you’re a natural athlete doing over an hour a day it’s too much. If you’re eating 4000cals and doing two hours a day it’s too much. There’s lots of scenarios where someone could be doing too much. And it could be for a host of reasons. Try and think of it this way. If you’re doing 500mg test every week for the past year the results aren’t going to change. If you’ve been doing 45min cardio 5-7 days a week the past year the results when dieting will not change. This is why I recommend minimal to no cardio offseason. Competitors will get stuck in a vicious cycle (mainly bikini) where they have to double their cardio become effective. The problem this causes is when they suddenly stop because they want to take a break. They blow up like a tick and start whining that their thyroid is damaged. Their thyroid isn’t damaged, they just went to hard too long and the body now needs to figure out what to do with the extra calories.

  9. Fellas,

Anyone have a legit remedy to help reduce (or even better eradicate) acid reflux.......?

I'm on tren, and it fucking give it to me big time. I've tried some chewable products and some otc pills you swallow - nothing helping

Thank you, I appreciate the time and effort

Taking antacids are going to make it worse. This is usually from under production of acid. Tren can lower stomach bile production. Taking apple cider vinegar with meals can help but I prefer HCL enzymes with each meal.

Taking antacids will help with the symptoms but will not fix the problem. You won’t be digesting your food properly.

  10. Can't believe all those typos in my original, lol...!

    Corrected...! &. Vision, no diuertics , I believe I did clen &

alternated ECA for a few weeks up to, def t-3. GH & a host of other things (but for going in 54 , I'm way more adventurous now with my gear & cycles then ever. ))

Kept em' quite basic back then.

Wow no diuretics and that much of a difference huh? Did you cut sodium or cut water too early?

  11. What do you recommend to eat before bed during prep? Egg whites with an egg? Cottage cheese is loaded with carbs.

Personally speaking I’ll eat whatever I feel like eating prep wise. I have a hard time sleeping without prep (anxiety) and am prescribed Xanax to sleep. If I’m super hungry man I’ll never sleep. Typically either an egg type meal because I love breakfast before bed. Or I’ll have a beef meal with some veggies. If I’m really hungry I’ll add it a carb source of like one cup of rice or a few ounces of potatoes. That little bit of insulin release will help you sleep very good. Sleep is very important. I don’t do it all the time but we all have those tough days and sometimes you have to listen to your body.

The problem with this is I can do this myself and it’s harder to judge with a client. The more you work with someone the more you understand them. It’s hard to distinguish at first if someone is being a bitch or if they really need food. Majority of my clients in prep do not have carbs before bed. Typically a beef meal or egg meal like I have with some veggies for fullness.

  12. Quoted Vision : "Think about when you’re in contest prep and the rebound growth you get after a show. This is working on the same idea. Oh and it’s to prevent people from turning into fat pieces of shit in offseason "

    Ain't no joke about that...! I absolutely "Loved" the being /hrainy { complete fullness , supersaturated to say the least }}

Did a show when I was 42 National Qualifier, (near 13 yeras Soon)

I was bulking to 241 heaviest , but sometime before this.

June was the show , I'd say the previous winter Feb maybe. Now, average weight. Of 227 -230 ish I did this Qualifier. ( n of course qualified , win Heavy at a very large got HW of 202. The intention was 215-217 but first go I either could have filled out better , or I lost some mass.

Point being. Here, I started dieting at 227 11+ weeks out.

202 show night. Splurged on meatlovers pizza & whatever else I had deprived myself or for 11 weeks 1 or 2. Beer that night killer Breakfast sun morn with a waffle (desert ) strawberries /whip cream . Etc.

By noon Sunday I was 213 + , ,Monday another almost 7 lbs Weds full on back to 226-227 .

But Sunday in the light in my foyer fucking peeled & full grainy my wife (ex ) wife at the time pointed it out , she said you should go see yourself in the mirror.

Oh how I wish I could have attianer that look yesterday.

Ever since , once in awhile I'll practice that scenario (no shows in mind z just re-learning my physique.

But to aquire that look & not be afraid of trying something different pre-show & look "Freaky"

Brother I know the feeling. I had the same thing happen to me at a show back in 2016. I had a friend of mine who was very knowledgeable dialing me in the last few days. He kept saying take another zide, take another zide, take another zide. I must have taken 4 dyazide that night on top of a weeks worth of aldactone. All I remember was trying not to cramp on stage and couldn’t fill out. I went back to my room after prejudging ordered two burgers and two Gatorades to fix the mess. I had to lay down for a few hours before finals hoping I wouldn’t die. I woke up vascular and full but damage was done. I ended up with a second place to the overall winner. That night I ate nachos, buffalo chicken Mac and cheese, and about half gallon of water. I woke up and probably the best I ever looked in my life. I still have video of it.

Reason I say this story is this is very common and for a reason. Diuretics! I should have never listened to my buddy but I trusted him. If you wake up the next day and look better then you did on stage you over did it. We’ve all made that mistake unfortunately. Out of curiosity what diuretics did you run and how much?

  13. What if you do cardio during off season at 20 mins

Depending on the individual I would have them increase the cardio. If I have anyone do cardio offseason it’s 3x a week fasted for 20min. And that’s for cardio health really. But I try to keep cardio to a minimum during offseason as your body will adapt for that activity. Versus you don’t do any during offseason and you start during prep. 20min will be very beneficial starting fresh versus now having to double someone’s cardio right from the beginning.

  14. How do you do mini cuts in the off season?

Say you just did 12-16 weeks of bulking and you want to continue to put on size. Say you were running test deca EQ and masteron. I would have you drop everything but the test and drop it down to around half of what you were using. If you weren’t doing cardio offseason we’d implement light cardio at this point of say 20min fasted 4-5 days a week. Food would stay around the same ball park as you were eating before and we would gradually lower the carbs down each week. I actually will have people use a little clenbuterol too for 4 weeks if they want.

The idea of this is to give the body a slight break and restore sensitivity to drugs and food. Growth will be hindered if you continue to blast food and gear. Think about when you’re in contest prep and the rebound growth you get after a show. This is working on the same idea. Oh and it’s to prevent people from turning into fat pieces of shit in offseason ;)
