  1. Surgery....it really depends upon the severity of the tear. 3 years ago, I had 3 partial tears of my rotator cuff which my doc who is a family member said that it need to be fixed. All 3 tears were a certain percentage of a tear, but not completely severed. during this time, I had two partial knee replacements and during that time I had the PRP therapy for my shoulder. I injured it in February and I could not do one push up. After doing PT and 2 PRP treatments, I was able to do sets of 50 push ups by the first of the year!

Come the end of last summer, I was finally able to start lifting again....heavy lifting. I had an injury during Aikido and recognized the feeling, torn rotator cuff. I did all of my PT exercises and omitted heavy lifting and martial arts. Come the first of the year, my bicep started to hurt. I got some quack who gave me cortisone for the pain he "thought" was a cyst. I had two complete tears due to the cortisone and they retracted behind the shoulder blade. I had to have surgery and it SUCKED! I could not do anything for 3 months. 6 months out, I'm finally able to do push ups and work out. My plans for now are to do body weight exercises ( insanity ) and light lifting for another 8 months. After that, I WILL be lifting again :)

Glad I had the surgery for the second one. Here's the thing. If they are partial tears, do PRP and physical therapy first. This means you have to change your workouts, no heavy lifting or doing any activity that makes it hurt. It sucks, I dropped 35lbs of muscle but I'm finally on the mend. If PRP and PT does not work, or if it is a complete tear, then do the surgery.

  2. I recently had rotator cuff surgery. I had a complete tear to my infraspinatious that it was retracted. I also had tears to the other 3 tendons. This surgery was the most difficult surgeries I've ever had to go though in regards to the healing/recovery process.

I was told No More Bench Press once I heal. I rarely lift "heavy weights" now days @ 54yrs old. However, I do lift moderately heavy with high reps in addition to doing insanity workouts and martial arts....MMA is how I destroyed both knees and ...both shoulders. My L shoulder I injured 3 of the 4 tendons and was told I had to have surgery. I opted out and went with the dextrose injection, then 2 rounds of PRP. Over 6 months time, I went from being able to do 1 push up to 50. Granted, I was doing PT for 6 months and I did not do any pushups till 4 months into PT.

The only reason I did the rotator cuff surgery this time was I had what they call a class 5 tear, complete tear where the tendon retracts. Thankfully, I did not need a cadaver tendon to re-attach the tendon. If you have the extra cash, & you do not have a complete tear, I would highly suggest the dextrose injection first, then go for 2 sessions of PRP....as long as you realize it's a SLOW process and PT is not an option. I did the PT exercises @ home so PT was 5 days a week for 6 months.

Good luck and keep us posted!

  3. Went to the TRT doc today and he was totally cool! We went over my blood work and my test was still very low, 150.turns out my pituitary is also very low. We also had a moment of disclosure and the conversation was agreed to be off the record. Told him of my previous self TRT & I was seeking treatment because I wanted to do it right. Granted, I requested to not use the Test now for TRT and address the problem of low test and pituitary and go with HCG and clomid to get things working correctly for the first go round with treatment. I may put off the HGH now as I want my pituitary to start working again. I do plan on using the BCP-157 and TB-500. Considering MK677 as it stimulates pituitary to produce HGH instead of just HGH.

  4. I have seen that doc, love his videos😁. Going to the doc tomorrow. I'm wondering what they check for blood labs because I have one kit of Hgh that I'm hoping to use without disclosure to the doc. 2iu per day, nothing crazy, just want my shoulder to heal up. I do plan on discussing everything with him and go from there.

  5. Went to the TRT doc for the first time and found my Test to be the lowest my doc has ever seen. . . 3! I've not disclosed my AAS use due to my job and pre-existing conditions/abuse on my medical records.

I am sure I probably should not use my HGH now as I will be having more extensive blood tests next week.

What about SARMS and BPC-157 and Cardarine/Ostarine? I was considering using these peptides/sarms for my tendon healing. Are they detectable upon testing and will they disturb any blood test results while on TRT?

    Thanks :)

  6. I am currently out of work due to my shoulder injury. The TB-500 is a bit pricey. I was reading a few SARMS work well with the bcp157. I'm also having a hard time finding a good reputable place to purchase the peptides/sarms. Also, what do ya know about HGH and blood testing for TRT?

    Thanks for the help!

  7. Last January, I completely tore 3 of the 4 tendons in my shoulder rotator cuff, I have been considering using SARMS/peptides for my rehab. I have found some of the SARMS/peptides that promote tendon healing which is what I'm looking for here. If I add SARMS to my TRT, possible TRT, will they be able to see it on blood work? I just did my first blood work to possibly start TRT instead of my just using Test and such. My goal for the SARMS/Peptides is to heal my shoulder. From everything I have read so far, I know BCP-157 will be one compound I will be using. I am wondering which will be best to add to bcp-157 to heal my 3 completely torn tendons. The one good thing is that my doc said he didn't have to use a cadaver tendon. He said that I will heal faster with my own tissue rather than if he had to put a cadaver tendon in me, so that's my good news.

Which SARMS/peptides combo will work the best for tendon healing? Best source for them? I've been reading a lot and have found some answers to which sarms work best for tendon issues (BCP-157), however, I plan to pursue sarms and am looking for some experienced direction in regards to SARMS.

also, I have one kit of HGH and was wondering if I use that if the TRT blood work will show 2-4 i.u. per day? That was the dose I used for my last shoulder injury that included the PRP treatment, which worked well.

    Thank you for the help!

  8. 52...Me too! Hey, don't discredit the P.T. geeks. Super important to rehab the tiny muscles of the rotator cuff. I too have issue with overhead lifting. I do my PT exercises everyday, focusing on external rotation with not a whole lot of weight. I can no stress enough to be careful and PT that shoulder. I had an injury to my shoulder 4 years ago which lead to my full tear in the rotator cuff & has changed my life for the worse. Lifting causes impingement of the R-cuff and shoulders become anterior and move forward. For some really good info on shoulder injury repair, go to youtube and watch AthleanX. He has good info and exercises which I do 5X a week. You do not want a cuff injury so you can no longer lift ;)

  9. Sorry to hear about your shoulder and ATC. As far as the ATC, I"m sure your cardio doc told you that you may have recurrence of your ATC due to irritable areas in the atrium. If this happens again, get an ablation. It will burn the irritable area which causes the ATC. Once you have the ablation, it's pretty much healed and recurrence is not likely but an ablation is usually only done if you have multiple episodes of ATC and such.

As far as your shoulder, I too have a torn superspinotious among the inferior and sub scap :( I do have some limitations and realized that even-though I had pretty significant tears to my rotator cuff, my mobility was only limited to certain movements. I realized that I could work around this injury and rehab my injury to an extent through PRP and PT.

My doc told me that I needed surgery and that my life of weight lifting or MMA would be over after surgery and repair. That was not an answer for me! After hearing that news, I researched alternative treatments including stem cell and PRP. I choose PRP and had two treatments and lots of Physical Therapy. It's been a year since my initial injury and I am in no way back 100%, maybe 85% but improving and learning to work around pain and halting my PT when it hurts. Pushing though the pain like I used to only sets me back..way back. I learned this the hard way. But, I have had steady improvements since I started PT and had the PRP therapy. When my shoulder is sensitive, I back off and do other exercised that don't involve my shoulder and cardio. Point is, surgery is not the only answer when it comes to shoulder surgery and both take a long time to heal so take your time with this injury! Sucks, but slow and steady wins the race :)

  10. Joe Rogan on podcast episode 945.

I recently tore my rotator cuff and was told by a reputable surgeon that I should stop all my weight lifting and martial arts. He basically said that he would like to "fix" my shoulder but there would be a long recovery process and limitations. So, basically, he can't "Fix" me only "repair". Sounds like a loose loose for me. That being said, I have an appointment with regenexx next month to consider either stem cell and/or PRP.

Healing does not happen in ....days. I was told directly by the regenexx clinic that it takes about 3 months which include PT. You don't just get the injection and you are healed. You do progressive physical therapy over 3 months and SLOWLY rehab the injury. That part sucks, but after the option my surgeon gave me, 3-4 months of laying off and slowly and consistency rehabbing my injury and the possibility of 80-90% recovery vs shoulder surgery...I"ll take the stem cell thank you! I'ts gonna cost me about 8000$ out of pocket but it's worth it. I do plan on using 4 iu a day of HGH when I have treatment with either of the two (PRP / Stem cell).

  11. I've a few Glocks due to my discount. I get abut 120 off most Glocks due to my employer. I have a G26 for my CC and I have a G23 for home defense and occasional CC. Love my 23, plus, I also purchased a 9mm conversion barrel for it so I can shoot 9 or .40 out of it. Conversion barrel cost me 100 bucks. As far as the trigger for Gen 4, 25 cent trigger job makes it amazing. Add a Ghost trigger conversion..butter! As far as the grip, the Gen 4 has the back strap's and the large beaver tail makes my Glock's fit like a glove.

  12. Na, I don't mess with that stuff...I"ve kids and would hate to have them think I do that. I have a hard time drinking beer in front of them... Just wanna keep things out of sight/mind for my daughter. We talk about that stuff, but she rarely sees me with alcohol..beer. I don't much beer, just beer, 2, no more that that at one time and maybe 2x a week. If I did not have kids......maybe :)

  13. Thanks for the reply! I'm not too familiar with raloxifene , but i'm going to look into it that's for sure. As for the AAS, I've always been pretty conservative, one ml of 250 Test E every 10 days and occasionally will blast deca or equ. maybe once a year I'll do orals for 4-6 weeks at most, usually at lower doses. My diet is super clean..with the exception of a few beers here and there, but no more than 2 at a time....per day, not 2 beers, then another 2 beers...and another :) I gotta admit, I am a bit concerned after reading your post, but, I've really had no problems and I attribute that to being conservative, proper diet/exercise and cardio.....lots of it :)

I'll keep ya all informed in 6 weeks

    Thankyou all, keep it commin

  14. Yea, last time I got a physical was when I changed fire departments 15 years ago. I had been on for 2 years, self TRT and I was off for 4 months. My only concern then was my creatin was just above the high mark @ 26 or 27, something like that. It was only one point off and just an area of concern to watch.

My main concern is having my lipids all outa wack or something that would be a red flag to my doc as if I was on AAS. I just dont want any problems or areas of "Question" for my doc towards me. I can tell the old prostrate is enlarged due to common symptoms. Anddddd, my semen is very low volume as of this last year? Guess I'll find out soon.

  15. I'm just concerned that the things the look for on the physical will be outa wack. Lipid profiles, creatin and such. Last time I had a physical was 15 yrs ago and I had been off for 2 months and my creatin was high, the rest was within normal limits. They are not testing me for AAS and I am aware of how long they stay in the system. And yes, BP is a huge factor. I notice that when I take Abomb's my BP can get a little high, so I normally take 25mg/day when on that stuff. Take my BP 4x a week at work and it's good. Plus, I always donate blood every 8 weeks.
