All of the inside pieces...grates, gas piping, etc. are readily available when they get nasty.. . I wanna say I've had mine for 10 years. Don't know how well the new ones are made. Steel has gotten pretty shitty. I don't think you will have to shell out nearly 2k either, unless you start to fuck with the rotisserie attachment. Though, I love anything comes off a rotisserie.

Webbers are pretty good about nut rusting on the outside. The color fades but have had mine for years... and I live in the NE...Anything that rusts out on the inside can be swapped out easily... I basically did the same thing. Didn't want it permanent and have to hard pipe gas to it.
